MAY I APPLY BY MAIL?       You may apply for renewal of a passport by mail if you meet the following requirements:         You must submit a U.S. passport which was issued less than 15 years ago and is in good condition.     You must have been 16 years of age when the passport was issued.     Your name is the same as it appears on the most recent passport or you are able to submit a certified copy of a marriage certificate or court order.
